The warm, sun-bleached coloring and traditional square shape of the Saltillo Sand Terracotta 9x9 tiles evoke the charm of traditional Saltillo yet are crafted in Spain from extruded porcelain that’s extremely durable and easy to maintain. The robust matte glazed finish and stunning artisanal look make it an excellent choice for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways—and even outdoors. The charm of traditional Saltillo tiles lies in their varied look, with rich color depth and surface texture thanks to being formed by hand and left to bake in the sun. Our collection harnesses that same treasured aesthetic yet is crafted from resilient extruded porcelain that, unlike the real deal, won’t wear down or require maintenance. Even better, it’s offered in a range of warm colors and easy-to-mix formats, including encaustic-inspired motifs, and with thick grout lines that enhance the artisanal look. Handmade for generations using clay found near the riverbeds of the Saltillo region in Mexico, this rustic terracotta style has graced the floors, walls, and courtyards of countless homes throughout the region. A design originally fueled by practicality, it’s now admired the world over for its earthy charm and warm patina, turning a once hyper-local design into one now accessible on a global scale.
