Product highlights

Sustainable

  • Jacaranda's commitment to the environment is evident in everything it does. Jacaranda has been developing revolutionary methods to get more out of every log while supporting conservation efforts around the world.
  • Wood is a natural building material that is both renewable and sustainable. In fact, it uses significantly less fossil fuel than other building materials, such as steel and concrete.
  • Perhaps just as importantly, newly planted trees will continue to absorb and store carbon dioxide. With proper forestry management and good stewardship, wood is a material that will continue to grow and serve many generations to come.
  • Environmentally Friendly

  • Jacaranda slices the veneer sheets wafer thin, enabling it to get three times as much veneer from each log.
  • This means that fewer trees need to be cut down to create the needed amount of wood. Some veneers, such as TransTec are sliced so thin that light can pass through for luxurious back lighting and other visually stunning effects.
  • Jacaranda’s commitment to conservation and green building goes beyond the harvesting and manufacturing process.
  • Jacaranda actively supports environmental organizations and is a proud member of the Forest Stewardship Council and the U.S. Green Building Council, and it follows Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora regulations for import and export of all wood species.
