Description
MCM Acoustical Mini Perforated wood panels have a natural wood veneer laminated to 5/8 in (16mm) FR MDF. Only then is the face microperforated with 1.5mm (1/16 in) perforations and the rear perforated for acoustical performance. This minimizes the risk of delamination or hole clogging common to panels that are laminated after perforation.

Product Details
  • MCM Acoustical’s leading production capabilities make the largest panels in the industry: 5 ft x 10 ft (1.5 m x 3 m)
  • The panels are fully engineered according to approved shop drawings with no field cutting for faster installation
  • The rear of the panel is pre-engineered to allow the panels to be mounted to the wall or ceiling
  • An acoustical fleece is factory-applied to the back of the panel for noise absorption and to reduce any reading through of material behind the panel

Like any other architectural natural wood products, all MCM Acoustical products are to be acclimatized inside a controlled interior environment for at least 75 hours before installation. During storage prior to installation, during installation, and after installation the relative humidity level of 35% - 55% and temperature range of 20°-27°C (68°-81°F) must be maintained
Flammability
The Miniperforated Panels are Class A fire rated interior wood finish products as per ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102 tested in an accredited NVLAP test facility as a finished composite product using Class A components
Acoustics
In addition to the Miniperforated face of the panel, the MDF core is perforated to improve sound absorption. A black mat is laminated to the rear of the product to create an acoustic performance of up to 0.90 NRC
