Kaynemaile architectural mesh is a patented, world-leading innovation. The modern chainmail fabric consists of interlinked polycarbonate rings formed seamlessly to create a strong yet highly flexible mesh sheet. Unlimited design potential paired with high-performance attributes makes Kaynemaile ideal for interior partitions, ceiling features, and building exteriors. Screens can be made to any height or width without joins. In line with the company’s minimal waste philosophy, Kaynemaile mesh can be completely recycled at the end of its life.

Size
Kaynemaile mesh screens are not restricted by panel size - screens can be made to any height or width without joins or gaps
Custom Capabilities
Kaynemaile architectural mesh screens are highly customizable. Screens can be used as a simple ceiling-hung hanging solution that can be fixed to the floor if required, as folding screens to divide spaces, and as framed screens designed to fit into framed openings like doors, windows and cabinetry. Curved solutions are no problem for Kaynemaile either. The mesh’s malleability means it can be fitted to a curved rod or stretched across a frame to create curved three-dimensional shapes. Kaynemaile mesh also allows for kinetic movement to create playful, sculptural environments. It can create moiré effects when layered or hung freely and works well with lighting effects

Warranty
10 year warranty; Excludes kinetic or custom applications
The visual open area is approximately 25%. The physical open area is approximately 80%. This means air compliant movement can be maintained in interior spaces
In interior settings, clean with a soft brush, vacuum cleaner mounted brush, or broom. Rinse with water if heavily soiled. For exterior environments, a mild detergent pre-soak followed by a low-pressure water blaster rinse (no more than 1200psi) is best. If pressure blasting isn’t possible, then clean with a soft brush or broom and water. Regardless of location, avoid harsh soaps, solvents, chemicals or waxes to clean the product as these may cause damage and void the warranty
Attachment methods for both exterior and interior systems are simple and based around two systems that utilize tube and hooks or a low-profile track. Custom projects are based around these simple attaching systems as well. To specify your Kaynemaile mesh screen just let the brand know the approximate width and height and they will advise on fixing details. If your screen is over 13ft in height it may require intermediate fixings
Kaynemaile architectural mesh is flame-retardant. Kaynemaile material and fixing system achieve an ASTM E84 Class A rating. Passes NFPA 285, NFPA 286, NFPA 265, NFPA 701, and conforms with section 803.12 stability at 200°F. Flame spread index of 5, Smoke developed index 350. Compliant with 2018 IBC section 2606 “Light transmitting plastics” achieving a CC1 classification. Achieved a Group 1S in the AS/ISO 9705 room test. With an ASTM D 2843 smoke index of 70.9° and ASTM 635 HB-CC1. The FR-V0 material is rated as self-extinguishing. Contact the brand for more specific information for your site’s location
Impact Resistance
The accumulated strength of Kaynemaile seamless mesh increases proportionately with the size of the panel. Astron burst testing with a point load area of approximately 1.5 in on small 5.5 in x 5.5 in samples show peak resistance of 615 lbs
Lightfastness
Material is UV stabilized and independently lab tested by the Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ). Results show the minimal deterioration of the mesh after 2000 hours of continuous testing.
Weather Resistance
Our mesh system acts as an effective wind and rain screen due to its cross-sectional density. For added protection, a second skin of mesh can be utilised which effectively limits the through penetration.
Performance
Cd = 0.8, which is 40% less than an equivalent two-dimensional or woven mesh
Creating beautiful and unique designs is easy with RE/8 bio-circular architectural mesh by Kaynemaile. It is tough and impact resistant, yet flexible enough to be stretched over a frame to execute complex three-dimensional shapes.
