Description
  • Discover Lichen Moss: A Designer's Color & Texture Guide Tin Box | Natural Color Palette
  • The Lichen Moss sample offers a unique, organic texture that brings a touch of natural elegance to any presentation. Its rich, earthy tones and soft structure make it an ideal foliage element for adding depth and visual interest.
  • Every designer knows that nature's most beautiful elements often come in subtle variations. Our Lichen (Reindeer) Moss sample brings this principle to life in a carefully curated collection, housed in a convenient 5" x 7" tin. Inside, you'll discover four naturally occurring shades - three distinct greens flowing from light to dark, complemented by an elegant beige/stone tone that adds sophisticated contrast.
  • Understanding Your Lichen Moss Sample This isn't just a sample - it's a design tool that helps you explore the possibilities of preserved moss in your projects. Each color has been selected to work in harmony with the others, allowing you to envision how these natural elements can create depth and interest in your preserved garden installations.
  • Working with Lichen Moss: What You Need to Know Lichen Moss brings unique character to preserved gardens, but it's important to understand its nature. Like all natural elements, it responds to its environment. In spaces where humidity drops below 25% - typically during heated winters or air-conditioned summers - the moss temporarily becomes firmer. It naturally returns to its soft texture when humidity increases, making it perfect for spaces with consistent climate control. However it is important to note that when Lichen becomes firm in those months, and handled by curious fingers, they are prone to damage, by their brittle nature.
  • Design Applications and Best Practices: We've found that Lichen Moss works best as an accent element within larger preserved garden installations. Consider placing it in areas where its natural color variations can create subtle transitions and visual interest. The key to success is thoughtful placement - we recommend installing it in areas with minimal direct contact, particularly during drier seasons.
  • A Commitment to Natural Beauty: At Garden on the Wall®, we believe in preserving nature's authentic beauty. That's why you'll find only natural colors in this sample - we never use artificial colored dyes. This commitment ensures that your designs maintain their connection to nature, creating genuine biophilic experiences in your spaces.
  • Professional Presentation Tool: This compact sample is designed to travel with you, making it perfect for client meetings and site visits. Its protective tin case ensures that you can confidently demonstrate the quality and variety of Lichen Moss options available for your projects.

    Construction
Moss, plants, and flower foliage are harvested at peak growth to attain maximum vibrancy. A non-toxic, biodegradable preservation liquid is used to replace plant sap once harvested. Moss, plants and foliage are applied to ¼” plywood backing using special adhesive according to approved design. The whole construct is around 2” thick for Lichen Moss Gardens. Once the garden panels are acclimated in a special chamber, they’re crated for shipment to the construction site

Maintain an indoor temperature between 60° and 85° F with a humidity level less than 70%. For Reindeer (Lichen) Moss gardens, there is a minimum of 30% humidity requirement for Lichen not to feel dry and get brittle. Unlike faux plants, preserved garden installations are not prone to dust accumulation as they’re not electrostatic. Dusting is only needed every 12 months or on a needed basis. Avoid spraying or washing with water and liquids. Fumigation of the display area in the sign of insect presence is advised. Avoid proximity (2 feet or less) to heat-emitting lights. LED lights are recommended for illumination.
