By The Roger Thomas Collection®™for Townsend LeatherTownsend Leather Company is excited to be introducing our second product line designed by Roger Thomas, recognized leader in interior design for the hospitality industry. Two stunnings damasks, Medici and La Scala, present great designs for both upholstery and wall applications. Roger draws inspiration from the new Teatro alla Scala, first inaugurated in 1788. Wealthy Milanese covered the cost of building the theatre by purchasing private Palachi for their exclusive use. Decoration of these boxes was lavish and competitive as their grandeur could be viewed from above or below by all who attended the great performances of the day. Roger colors a mid-size, updated-classic damask to create beautiful upholstery or wall covering to fit a wide variety of interior settings. Townsend handcrafts large Center Cut Hides in gleaming hues and hand-applies striations that make these leathers sing!Natural variations in color, tone and texture are part of the beauty of this leather artwork and highlight each hide’s unique history and natural markings.
