Designer Sina Pearson’s latest upholstery collection resulted from experiments with color, texture, and pattern: Introducing the Unexpected. These three textiles Modern Plaid, Thick and Thin, and Tweedy feature complex woven structures, a mix of yarn textures and sizes, and color combinations that come together in new and creative ways. For Sina, textile design has always been rooted in balancing inspiration with a deliberate, yet organic process – creating a collection that coordinates beautifully and is surprising and playful, yet completely relevant for today’s workplace and hospitality environments. The classic midcentury centerpiece of the collection is Modern Plaid which comes alive with the contrast of lustrous rayon, matte cotton, and natural wool yarns.
