Maintenance
Soak with clean water and soap to loosen dirt and debris. Uniformly apply a mild, non-abrasive commercial window washing solution to the glass surfaces with a brush, strip washer or other non-abrasive applicator. Immediately following the application of the cleaning solution, a squeegee should be used to remove all cleaning solution from the glass surface. Care should be taken to ensure that no metal parts of the cleaning equipment come in contact with the glass surface. Dry the window gaskets and seals to avoid degradation of these materials. Pressure washing at 1,500 psi or less can also be an effective way to remove dirt and debris in exterior applications without coatings. Reseal micro-sandblasted glass periodically to prevent oils and debris soaking into the etch. CRL TPC16 TPC Surface Protector is recommended
Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor
Applications
Use as a writeable surface, partition, or for exterior application. Ideal for scearios where translucency is important. Alternatively, surface can offer visual privacy (diffuse light) if needed, depending on the design
Installation
Can be specified to include holes, notches, cutouts and pattern cuts. Any glass that is tempered will need to be fabricated prior to shipping. Altering tempered glass on-site will result in breakage. The material cannot be heat formed or cold bent and is only sold as flat sheets. It is recommended that the material be installed and handled by an experienced glazier. Refer to Technical Spec for additional information
Flammability
Material is non-combustible. Can be specified in all glazing, interior finish, and light transmitting applications requiring class A performance for flame spread
Classification
Passes ANSI Z97.1 for Safety of Architectural Glazing Materials
Chemical Resistance
Refer to Technical Spec for additional information
Acoustics
ASTM E 90 (Sound Transmission Class) tested. Results of 31 – 36 depending on thickness selection
Performance
Meets the requirements of ANSI Z97.1 Class A and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 Cat II
Hardness
6-7 on the Moh's scale. ASTM C1326 (Koop Hardness) tested. Result of 832,065 lbs/sqin
