Description
Sapele Mahogany is a commercially important wood and is the primary replacement for Genuine Mahogany. It has a range of attractive figures and can produce a ribbon figure. The heartwood and sapwood are resistant to preservative treatment and Sapele Mahogany surfaces can be brought to an excellent finish. The heartwood darkens to a red-brown or purple-brown on exposure while the sapwood is white to pale yellow.Grothouse’s Original Oil™ is a food grade, mineral oil used for lasting protection on wood surfaces. This finish is primarily used on butcherblock, wood countertops, cutting boards, salad bowls, soapstone and wood utensils. The finish is hypoallergenic and free of Tung oils. Max of five samples per order.
