In 2014, Designtex learned West Elm was developing a collection for work applications. They felt West Elm furniture needed a collection of West Elm-designed textiles, and reached out. That began their partnership, and six years later, they continue a collaboration to find ways to bring West Elm’s worldview and the “resi-commercial” aesthetic to the contract market. In the latest collection, classic couture textile constructions meet Crypton. West Elm 4.0 shows how luxury, durability and cleanability can coexist beautifully. Woven with a sumptuous combination of chenille, slub and bouclé yarns, each textile is finished with Crypton to provide enhanced cleanability and disinfection, as well as a moisture barrier.
